Why do you think auto insurance in Myrtle Beach, SC cost more? We want to hear from you. Here are some of the reasons our customers gave.
- More of a chance for a comprehensive claim (hurricane damage).
- More teen or young drivers.
- Myrtle Beach is somewhat of a mini melting pot. Drivers from different parts of the country don't mesh well together.
- Tourists don't know where they are going.
- There are more older drivers (retirees).
- People have more violations because the police will pull you over for anything.
- There are lots of people driving late at night, especially during the summer.
Actually, the auto insurance premiums in Myrtle Beach are just a little above the median for the United States. While some of these things may be true, we cannot confirm how they affect the rates for auto insurance in Myrtle Beach. It really just comes down to that there are more accidents here than the average city.

What about all of the people driving mopeds in Myrtle Beach? Thanks by the way, yall saved me a lot of money on my auto insurance.

Thanks Jon! It is possible mopeds cause accidents and therefore rates to go up, but we havent heard any facts on it.
